1934 Ford Rumble Seat Cabriolet- Outstanding!
1934 Ford Rumble Seat Cabriolet- Outstanding!
This is a well preserved older restoration (20 years) that needs only polish and a bit of tinkering to return to its original glory. The burgundy body with black fenders, tan convertible top, red wheels, red pin striping and white wall tires is one of the more classic combinations Ford ever presented. The car also sports road lamps, twin horns, cowl lamps and a covered spare tire.
There are minor chips from use and a small dent in the rear fender from a conflict with the garage door frame. Good news is it can be easily restored and the black fender painted separately. Otherwise there is no evidence of sheet metal repair or patching in fenders, doors, cowl, deck lid or quarter panels. There is a patch in the rumble seat floor that is not readily visible. Original and stock frame and suspension are painted showing no signs of rust damage or repair. New shocks are evident. The rebuilt 221 cubic inch, 85 horsepower flathead V-8 starts and runs smoothly and quietly
The mohair interior shows no signs of wear. The dash and moldings are wood grained and the dash has a factory radio installed. Accessory fuel and oil pressure gauges and aftermarket turn signals were installed. The rumble seat is covered in brown vinyl in near perfect condition. You are welcome to come in to see this car in person at our Troy Location.
